“For the most part it was okay....”

  , Rochester
For the most part I had a decent visit at the Days Inn @ Cortland. The people who checked us in were very nice and helpful. We were there with a big AAU Basketball team and they allowed us to use the breakfast area after our game to watch the Syracuse game and have pizza as a team. I thought that was nice. The only drawback to the Days Inn was the grumpy old man that was working the breakfast shift. He was extremely rude. My daughter went to get juice and he was standing behind her huffing and puffing because we were in his way....Thought we paid for the room but clearly that didn't matter to him. Another guest went to get a bagel and he wanted to put the bread in the cabinet and he started huffing again...he was not even trying to be nice. One of the other moms asked if there were any donuts....his reply was sooner or later. He really just ruined the trip for everyone. I understand you have a job to do and make sure the coffee is made and the food is out, but we paid for our room, there was no reason for that man to treat us like that. Unfortunately we were told he is always like that....If there was another basketball tournament there I would consider staying there but I would ask if the old man would be working....if he was working, I would go to another hotel.
