“Biggest positive was it's a pet friendly hotel...some areas to improve, but fine for one night stay.”

The checkout time of noon was a very, very nice surprise for someone traveling so late, but I wish breakfast hadn't ended so early. Oh, and I did not understand the safe charge, as we didn't use it. Everything in the room was a bit outdated, and things were broken or falling apart in the room, but the beds were very comfortable and the water pressure was great. The night staff were excellent checking us in. I had tried three times to find out the pet fee online and through the 1-800 number, but it was a mess. They finally gave me the direct line to the hotel because they didn't know what the weight limit policy was on dogs. Therefore, I called the direct line and was helped very quickly - it's too bad that the website and phone number on it were not helpful...if I had not had a pet with me, I would have gone to a nearby competitor. As a walk-in, and the reason I chose this hotel is the pet policy, as the Red Roof Inn next to it looked a bit like a safety risk. As a veterinary technician, I always have pets with me, and it is the number one consideration for me when choosing a hotel, so the low pet fee was very appreciated. The morning staff, however, were inattentive. I was ignored by two staff for about 15 minutes, even after glancing at me, but the very friendly night staff made up for it. Little suggestions - more coffee condiments..if you have two people drinking coffee in the room, 1 packet of sugar and cream don't cut it, and if I have to come ask for more, then I might as well have just gotten coffee at breakfast, but the whole point was coffee in your pajamas while you wake up. Other suggestion - no ice machine signs anywhere - ice buckets in room with no information on how to find it until a staff member showed me. As you are pet friendly, a garbage can near the back or side doors for waste would be nice. As a vet tech, I see many pets come in with parasites from traveling and sniffing or touching other dogs feces. I ended up taking it to the room and flushing it, as I had no idea what to do with it. Overall, nice lobby and building - but rooms need an update (mainly the bedspreads).
