“This hotel may not be bottom of the barrel for the area...”

This hotel may not be bottom of the barrel for the area, but it has to be close. There is a smell that permeates the rooms and corridors. The so-called continental breakfast was awful and served in a tiny cramped room that made moving around almost impossible. We turned our air conditioner off, because I'm sure there's some kind of mildew growing inside. It wasn't too hard to hear our neighbors talking normally in the next room. The cleaning staff did their job and cleaned the rooms as well as can be expected, but there are deeper problems in this hotel than just surface cleaning. The entire hotel needs a good remodeling and cleaning from top to bottom. When the internet connection worked, it was fine, but I kept losing the wireless connection about every 10 minutes. (not a problem since we didn't spend much time in the room anyway.) The staff, for their part, were great, considering what they had to work with. I feel bad they have to work in that smell every single day. We won't be back.
