“Half nice, half terrible”

  , Lockport
The room was damp and smelly, and there was mold in the bathroom. We had to find another place the first night of our weekend because no manager was available for the next 4 days and the entire place was booked. This room should not have been given to anyone. The staff was friendly but the manager was nowhere in sight the entire time and was unavailable by phone because "her phone doesn't work at her house." The second night they found us a different room on the renovated side of the hotel which was clean, dry, and pretty nice. As long as you're in the nicer side of the hotel the place is nice and good value. Note: The renovated rooms don't have refrigerators. We didn't try the pool but could see it walking in. (It's a fishbowl type of setting where the pool is surrounded by glass and in total view from the lobby.) The location was safe and very accessible to the highway and route 7. The highlight of breakfast was make-your-own-waffles. Get coffee elsewhere. Seriously. There are lots of cute bagel shops on the route to downtown Burlington and Shelburne. All in all, I wouldn't stay there again.
