“Dissappointment in Rice Lake, WI.”

My frustration with the service actually did not happen until halfway through our stay. I want to point out that at check-in and at check-out we had EXCELLENT service. It was actually with the "OWNER" that we became disattisfied. I will never again stay at this hotel because of the "OWNER". In the middle of our stay my grandparents wanted to meet us at the hotel. The weather was very bad and my grandfather is in a walker and can't climb stairs. Rather than have them meet us and then have to go back out in the weather, I thought it would be nice to just bring in some food and my grandparents and my wife and I would eat in the room and could visit and have privacy at the same time. Since the room wasnt set up very well to do this I went to the front desk and asked if I could rent a suite, that had more room, where my grandparents and us could meet and eat. The owner very rudly requested what we wanted the room for. It took me back and was very shocking the manner he spoke to me. I told what I was doing and he stated that he had no rooms and wouldnt rent me one anyway because he wasnt going to have people eating in his rooms. I asked him what his position was and he said the owner. I have never been spoken to so rudly in my life. That guy has a problem and I will post on every public site I can find how we were treated and for no one to stay at that hotel. If the owner wishes to call me and discuss this further, he is welcome too. My guess is that I will not hear from anyone because no one ever really reads these comments anyway. It is sad that its that way, but I'm sure that is the case.
