Dear guest;I was very disappointed as well to hear about the terrible conditions you experienced while staying at our properly. The room cleaning had clearly not been completed. There were several teams competing in Burlington that weekend. I am afraid that they checked in much earlier than we had expected so the cleaning crew was distracted. I realize that is no excuse but that is the fact of the matter. As far as the desk clerk not being there when you came in that is also the source of that problem. Neither of the desk clerks that work the afternoon to the evening shift smoke but there were issues that they had to attend to. We do apologize for the inconvenience and we hope that your experience with our motel does not affect your decision to stay with Days Inn in the future. Dear guest;I am sorry I did not respond before today but we had not been previously contacted by trip advisor about your complaint. We are sorry that you experienced problems with the plumbing. Most of these problems will be addressed with new remodeling that will be completed in May (we hope). We thank you for your comments and we will try to make improvements with your comments in mind. Dear guest:Thank you for your review. I will take these issues up one at a time. The safe charge is the contract agreement we have with the company that we lease the safes from. To the best of my knowledge most hotels operate under the same type of lease agreement. We notify you on your registration card when you check in and also on the safe itself. We have no control of these circumstances and it is the industry norm. We are very sorry.Phone calls...We have not charged more that $3.50 for any long distance phone call since we installed this new phone system in July. I am not sure but I don't think you are referring to our hotel but hotels in general. Since cell phone are in such broad use we have had fewer than 10 phone bill since July and they were all nominal. We are a motel and not a hotel where the practice of using phone charges as income is commonly used. You mentioned another hotel visit you had at another hotel that did over charge you when I spoke to you at check out. You may want to notify them. We are sorry.We did not make your reservation for you as you mentioned you made them through Wyndham Rewards. You may want to mention that to Wyndham Rewards when you next use them. This is not something that we have control over we merely receive the reservations from them. Again we are sorry.Days Inn Shelburne has not been responsible for the afore mentioned disappointments.
