“worst hotel stay ever”

I have stayed in several hotels over the years and this was the worst hotel experience ever. From check in to check out it was a bad experience. The first room was not very clean there was stuff observed on the floor when we first walked in the room. By morning we realized the toilet did not flush. I went to the front desk to let them know the toilet was not working. I was told some one would be down to look at it. After a half hour still no one had showed up. I called front desk and spoke to someone different and this person stated they would send someone right down. Mike the maintenance man arrived a few minutes later to assess the toilet situation after working on the toilet he inquired about our interest in changing rooms. He was very polite and considerate. He stated that he would let the front desk know that we would be changing rooms. A few minutes later I went down to the front desk to inquire about changing rooms. I was informed that I could get a new room, but the new room would not have a fridge or a microwave like my current room had and that if I wanted to get a room with it I would need to pay $10 a night. I stated that since I was in a room with a fridge/micro wave already could I not get another room with one. The front desk person responded with you have already got it free for one night. (It should be noted that in the description of the hotel on Priceline it describes that all room have a micro and fridge - I didn't realize there was an extra charge for this let alone $10 a night). I then suggested that due to having a room with a toilet that did not work and having to pack up and move rooms that could I not get a micro/fridge room for my inconvenience and troubles. I was told that there were none clean at the time, but that if I wanted to wait until 3PM I could get one. I stated that I would be willing to wait until three. I went out for the day with my family . We returned and checked at 2pm to see if room was ready and were told it was not. We returned later that evening and were given a new room. The room did not have a micro/fridge. I expressed that I was told that if waited until after 3pm I would be able to get a room with a micro/fridge. The desk staff stated that we could move our things and she would have some one move the micro/fridge from our old room to our new room. The new room was a little cleaner, however there were long hairs on the toilet, cigarette burns in the sheets, walls had several spots.
