“Not so much....”

Compared to other Days Inn hotels, the Jekyll Island Hotel seems somewhat below average. We could not beat the location (next to Convention Center) or the price for one night (Thanksgiving Week). I prefer a relative hard mattress. The mattress in Room 143 felt and looked old. We found a "box" plugged into an outlet and do not have a clue as to what/why it was there. If it was an air freshener, then it should be replaced. Perhaps, then the room would not have had an odor. We unplugged it and used the outlet for recharging our accessories. I am unaccustomed to having the lavatory outside the bath area, but adjusted. The lighting was poor for applying makeup. The breakfast items were top notch--EXCEPT--as in other Days Inn, this hotel had no sausage/bacon or boiled eggs. I was sad.
