During check in for our 2night stay, inquired about pool hours, was told by one staff member "pool was closed", w/o explanation. Then another more experienced staff stated it was closed because the pump broke will reopen tommorro but in mean time can use pool at Holiday inn down street just show your pass. Was a little discouraged about that but was satisfied they at least had a back up plan to accomadate ppl who wanted to take a dip. 1st room on the first floor they tried to put my family in, had a nasty sewer odor in hallway, attempted to check the room out before unloading my family in there, found the door basically open, door was not shut well, when I tried to close it and open it again I had to use force with my shoulder to open it back up, room switched, 2nd room we got placed in 2nd floor, beds were soo poor felt like there were no springs, sunk to the floor when laying on them. The a/c I feel is in a bad spot it blows directly over your head while in bed. When not in use room air is very muggy. We were provided w/ standard linen for bathroom but we needed extra face cloths for family of 5 we were given 2 large towels by the staff at the front and was told this is all they have, really? I think they are a little stingy beause we asked the same thing on 2nd night and was told the same.Break fast was mediocre. Kids almost broke their teeth biting into frozen donuts. Hot chocolate watered down, juice was watered down.I did like the location accessible to resturants, shopping, movie theaters in neighboring town.
