The desk clerks were AWFUL!!! condescending rude hostile and hungry for power and control over everything including the customers!!!! my car broke down and I was stuck in Tacoma/Fife until my car got fixed which the mechanic said would be Friday March 15th, unfortunately it was not fixed on Friday. the mechanic told me that they would do their best to get it done Saturday. so I paid for another night at the hotel. all was going fine until Saturday morning. I called the mechanic to check on their progress and they said they weren't sure yet as they were waiting on a part to be delivered and that they would call me at 2 pm to let me know whether it would be done that day. I immediately called the front desk to notify them as I did the day before that the mechanic wouldn't know until 2 pm if car would be done or not and that as soon as I heard back from him I would either come pay if it wasn't done or check out if it was.... I was immediately chastised like a child by the clerk. she was rude condescending indignant and making threats of calling the police to have me removed and yelling at me that I had to pay or leave.... I was shocked that she was yelling at me and threatening me when I had not been any problem at all the prior 2 nights. I hung up when she continued to yell at me after I asked her to not yell or threaten me. I called my friend to get a ride to the atm so I could pay for the room as to avoid any further assaults from the desk clerk. my ride was quite a ways away but assured me he was on his way. so I called the clerk to inform her I was waiting for my ride to get there and that I would be paying for the room soon as I got back from going to the atm. that was at 1:30 pm. my ride arrived at 3 pm to pick me up. I called the clerk informed that my ride had arrived and that I would be back within half an hour with payment. Upon my return I was still very upset at how I had been treated so I had my friend go pay for my room as I didnt want to have any further dealings with that awful clerk. when my friend returned he informed me that the police had been called and that the clerk and the police entered my room while I was at the atm getting money. This upset me VERY much as the clerk knew I would be right back with payment for the room. I felt violated and humiliated by being treated with such disrespect and hostility in which they had treated me so I got my money back and went to a different hotel. I will NEVER stay at Days Inn again!!! « less
