I am so sorry to hear your stay with us did not meet your expectations. We are making many changes to the hotel over the next few weeks including the replacement of most of our screens, cleaning carpets and upgrading linens. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. We hope we can do a better job at getting to these problems faster in the future. Our staff is dedicated to providing a clean, safe, and affordable place for all of our guests and I hope you will give us another chance to show you that we do take pride in the services that we provide by visiting us again in the future and letting us know what we can do to provide you with a better quality stay for the price. « hide

I apologize if you felt there was no consistency in our rate quotes from one employee to the next. I can assure you that there was no intention of discrimination. As with any hotel, our rates change daily based on demand, including our extended stay program. During the Summer months, we have many black out dates on extended stay due to pre-booked events like the Air Show, and Country USA or Rock USA which cause our daily rate to exceed a $150 per day. All hotels in the area fall under that same umbrella. While we try to offer the same types of programs to all of our guests, the date and time of booking will have a great effect on your ratcan have a dramatic effect on the rate you are quoted (again based on demand). I apologize if you felt it had anything to do with you personally, I assure you that wasn't the case. We are in the process of replacing many of our comforters and blankets and performing our spring cleaning on carpets. All of the hotels in Wisconsin are non-smoking rooms and if someone stayed in the room and was smoking prior to your stay they were doing so against our hotel policy and we will look into that. If this should ever happen in the future, please let the front desk staff know you are not happy with your room and we will be glad to check you into a different room. If you want to get the best room in the house, ask in advance if you can book our Jacuzzi Suite, a King or Queen room as we are upgrading these first and will be glad to put you in a better quality room if you ask in advance. We apologize for any inconvienience and hope you will give us another chance to show you some of the great changes we are making at the Days Inn, Appleton. « hide

We ordered brand new screens for the entire lower floor and they will all be replaced this spring so our guests can open the windows and enjoy the lovely weather this spring in Appleton. Thank you for your response and for returning to stay with us a second time. I am glad we had a chance to speak in person about the positive changes I am making as the new General Manager at the Days Inn, Appleton. As a resident manager, I live on the property and we have increased our level of security over the past 2 weeks and will continue to do so in the future to ensure the comfort and safety of each and every guest at our hotel. We have also instituted regular hall checks, daily vacant room inspections, and ensure nightly that our exterior doors are secured with room key only access. We really appreciated your input in helping us make our hotel better. « hide

Thank you for your response. Yes, Our hotel is quite convenient to many sites, attractions, businesses, airport, sports events, and more. And our new Lead Housekeeper is doing an excellent job at inspecting our rooms before new guests arrive, so we are pleased that you noticed the hard work that our housekeeping staff is doing. And we have been putting new carpets in our rooms on a cycle basis, we can't get to all of them at one time, so next time you stay with us, just request a room that has newer carpet and if one is available we will be glad to put you in that room. We hope to have most of the older carpets replaced or deep cleaned by mid summer. We appreciate your comments and positive feedback. I was assigned as the new General Manager on April 1, 2013 and in the past few weeks I have had many guests complimenting me and my staff on the improvements that have been made in just a few weeks. While I can't do anything about our hotel not having a pool or hot tub, I can assure you that I am committed to providing a clean, safe, and friendly environment that is affordable and conveniently located. Our hotel is a good value for the price, not a lot of bells and whistles (like a pool or hot tub) but a friendly place to stay at an affordable price. « hide
