“Good stay; Improvements needed”

  , Grantsburg
We enjoyed our recent stay with DaysInn in Johnson Creek. This was our second time staying with you. The rooms were neat and clean. Hannah, the young lady working at the desk when we arrived, was cheerful and friendly. The price of your rooms is what made us book reservations both times. Plus, you are conveniently close to Maranatha in Watertown where we visited the college. Thank you for the stay and for the continental breakfast! We appreciate it.Please consider a few improvements...1) The toilet in our room became plugged, and a plunger was nowhere to be found in the hotel. My husband bought one at Menards so we could fix the problem. Perhaps having a plunger on hand when you're servicing hotel rooms would be a great asset.2) Bedside lightbulb burned out. Perhaps the staff could check lights with each cleaning.3) Thanks for the hair shampoo; supplying hair conditioner would be excellent. I brought my own from home as I was not sure you would have conditioner. Most hotels we stay at offer conditioner alongside the shampoo.4) Some of the rooms have a peculiar smell as if it had once been a smoking room. We noted that some of the rooms have the "No Smoking" sign; others do not. We realize that DaysInn is a non-smoking hotel. But there's a stagnant, trying-to-cover-up-smoke smell within some of the rooms.5) When making reservations, I did request adjoining rooms for the second night of our stay. This did not happen, but we chose to not make a big deal about it. Maybe next time, just give attention to those details.
