“Needs updating”

After a long trip on Amtrak, we chose to stay at this hotel before heading home. The television in the room did not work. I was told it was because they were "updating" their cable system, and had some problems with the reception. However, it was obvious in this box-type television, that the picture tube was shot, as there were huge lines across the screen, and every channel was fuzzy at best. When we asked for someone to check on it, we were told that there were no televisions available, and we could not change rooms. Needless to say, we had a very quiet night. In addition the coffee pot had not been cleaned, and the coffee ground pack was still in the machine. This hotel definitely needs updating and more attention to detail. It was definitely not worth the $110 we paid for this room.
