“Very disappointed”

I have had bad experiences with days inn in multiple locations in the past, so I was rather hesitant to book a room at your hotel. However, I always believe in second chances, so I decided to book again with you. I was so disappointed. When I made my reservation, I explained that I was coming from out of town, and was unsure of the time I would arrive. The person making the reservation let me know that an early checkin can be requested bu not guaranteed. I understand that. When I arrived shortly after 1 p.m. The lady at the desk was extremely rude. She informed me that check in is not until 3, and that I shouldnt expect it any sooner. I was fine with a 3 pm checkin, she did NOT have to be rude with me. I had just spend 4 hours driving in the pouring rain, and I did not need to be talked down to. However, my biggest concern was the room (room 185). It smelled aweful! It smelled very musty and moldy. I wanted to switch to another room, but given the attitude I had at the desk, I really didnt want to raise any more problems. I also knew that I was going to be away from the hotel for a majority of the evening, so I just thought I could get through it. I left and returned to the room around 1 a.m., my room still smelled, but I went to bed. I have severe allergies. When I woke up, my eyes were nearly swollen shut, and I was sneezing, coughing, and blowing my nose. (this all from the smell in the room). I walked over to the window, because I knew it had been raining, and the floor was SOAKED! This is why the room was smelling so bad. The moisture gets into the carpet and then mold begins to grow. I left the hotel, and within 2 hours, my allergies had cleared, so I know my issues came from your hotel. There was also a sewer odor in the hallway, which apparantly bothered others as well becuase after a bit, someone has sprayed air freshener in the hallway. The lady I phoned for check out was rude as well. I was completely dissatisfied, and I cannot believe I had to pay $100 for a place like yours.
