“Motel Hell”

  , Amarillo
This was by far the worst night I have ever spent in a motel. In 103 Lubbock temps, we arrived in the room to fnd the air conditioner was broken. Not only did they not switch us room, it took them two and half hours and two calls to hotwire before they sent anyone to fix it...on top of that, the pool was closed for two days, so we couldn't even go swim to cool off. The wifi barely reached our room, despite being only a couple doors down from the office. The bed was very hard and everything in the room was grimey and run down. Then to top it off, when we arrived for breakfast the next morning, we found that the fod was located in a stifling hot, humid room off the atrium (where the pool and hot tub are located). We were pouring sweat by the time we gathered our less than stellar breakfast and terrible coffee...where we proceded to eat at the tables provided while choking on pool fumes. I am not a complainer..but I feel a certain responsibilty to my fellow travelers to warn you away from this place. Spend the extra ten bucks and go someplace else.
