“Question charges”

Experience at the hotel was fine. However I was surprised when I arrived home and looked at my bank statement to find additional charges I was not informed about by person who checked me in. When I called to question the additional charges I was told this is done to prevent quests from leaving without paying. I already had checked out properly and paid so do not understand why this hold was put on my account and also was surprised at the amount of the hold which was more than the entire bill for my stay. This experience will influence picking my next hotel and wheather or not it is a Days Inn. Stayed in other hotels on this trip and did not experience this situation at any of them. I think someone from corperate should look into this practice. I realize I am only one guest amoung many but in todays economy customer service is very important and should not be taken lightly. My entire professional career of over 30 years has been in the service industry and I strive to have 100 percent Customer satisfaction at my job.
