“Good location, good value, good room, but losing my business”

The motel is in a good location and had exceptional amenities for the price. I am planning to return to this area on business at least four more times in the next 8 months. As I was checking out, I explained my plans and asked if I could call to make a reservation at the same rate that I received for this stay. I was flatly refused. When I tried to explain further, it was made clear to me that my business was not that important to them. As a result, I plan to stay elsewhere when I return in June. This represents a loss of about 15-20 nights business. The cavalier attitude of the manager will also make me reconsider whether I want to stay at Days Inns elsewhere in my business and recreational travel. Ramada Limited and other chains will no doubt be the beneficiaries. VERY SHORTSIGHTED.
